Signals and Triggers

A signal is a sensed change. A trigger is a normalized NCP event that can be scored, routed, suppressed, escalated, or acted on.

Policies and Routes

Policies determine interruption, escalation, suppression, and allowed actions. Routes identify the agent, project, domain, or owner that should handle the trigger.

Context Refs

Context refs point to external details through URLs, MCP resources, files, databases, APIs, or local resources. Sensitive details should stay behind references.

Action Contracts

Action contracts define what an agent may do without approval, what requires approval, and what is forbidden.
